Course overview

This module is an intensive training course that is part of the post-HBO International Public Health (module 2b). In Training Skills, you will learn how to set up a training course as effectively as possible and how to deliver the training in an inspiring way. You will immediately put what you learn into practice, thereby improving your training skills.

For anyone who would like practical tools for dealing with public health issues;

  • Because you work in migrant care in the Netherlands or elsewhere
  • You have done an internship abroad and want to explore opportunities to work abroad (for a longer period of time)
  • You have a broad range of interests and would like to combine intercultural work with project management
  • You already have concrete plans to go to the tropics
  • You work for a non-governmental organisation and want to delve deeper into various themes related to Public Health.

A relevant completed bachelor's degree and relevant job experience for at least one year (not necessarily in a low income country) and a good command of the English language, verbally as well as in writing.

We accept the following qualifications:

IELTS: a minimum score of 6 (overall band score) - not older than two years.

TOEFL: TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of 80 - not older than two years.

Cambridge: B2 (First), C1 (Advanced) or C2 (Proficiency)

Visa
Do you live abroad? Then you need a visa to follow the training. More information about this process can be found on the IND website.

One EC (European credit) represent 28 hours of study.
